Due to stress, I have recently listening to the music composed by Cicada. Their music depicts nature by using piano, acoustic guitar, violin, viola, and cello. Those five instruments interweave together and play the theme by turn, showing me a tour to the glaciers in Greenland, the forests in Taiwan, the waves in the Pacific, and the animals around our world.
It makes me feel revived, and I love listening to their music, whatever I am doing. Studying, relaxing…. it is just so comforting. It calms me down and tells me gently that I can have rest at anytime.
Today I watched their music video for Gazing the Shades of White. The team traveled to Greenland and New Zealand, and they filmed the glaciers with icebergs. As I watch, a thought appears in my mind. They created music from their sights at the glaciers, we listen to their music, and draw a picture of the glaciers in our minds. It seems that plenty of things in our lives let us drown in deep thoughts, beginning with experiencing it, then pondering on it, and reviewing it again.
It all begins with experience. Whether it is by traveling, learning, or receiving information from the internet, we can always find out things that interest us. We dive into it and immerse ourselves in it. Leading to the second phase.
In the second phase, we sleep on it, discuss it with ourselves, with others… We extract an abstract logic from it, figure out a method from it, and think more about it. Think, think, think. We can’t help dreaming about it, and we wanted to see it again.
Here we are. We go back here again. What’s different is that we have grown up throughout the phase of thinking, and carry another view to the same thing.
We looked quite far while thinking backwards.
